Our work together

In the two years that we have served Molière in the Park (MIP), we have been instrumental in helping this small theatre company to secure their first ever grants from government and private foundations, and increased the success of their year-end campaign.

After a case statement process that refined MIP’s organizational story and value proposition, we launched MIP’s first strategic grants effort, leading within two years to funding from NYSCA, NYC, and new private foundations. A critical component of this work has been to support and coach the Executive Director in leveraging and growing her network to cultivate meaningful relationships with funders.

At the end of our first year, we devised and implemented MIP’s Year-End Fundraising Campaign, providing guidance and strategy for all components of the appeal, beginning with an analysis of the previous year's campaign, followed by goal setting, prospect segmentation, theme and message development, and the writing of all communications.

To maximize the campaign’s results, we delivered a fundraising training for MIP’s Board of Directors to increase their connection to MIP and inspire their participation in the appeal. The end result was an almost doubling of donors giving $100-$499 over the previous year, significantly broadening MIP’s donor base. The project also provided foundational campaign tools and learnings that MIP has adapted to its own use in subsequent years.

Working with BFG has been invaluable to MIP, bringing us critical support on the development front. Their expertise and guidance have allowed us to articulate our mission and goals more clearly, think ahead about the big picture, while concretely planning how to get there. They are organized, focused, generous with their time, passionate about helping us succeed and receptive to finding ways to tailor their proposals to our needs and resources.
